Site 6-Ospwagan Lake
Another new beginning! About a decade ago we found out that we would have to leave Moak Lake and it has been a time of patience and wonder as God has made a new and long-term home possible for us back at Ospwagan Lake but at an even better spot than before. Lord willing, we will have the main kitchen/dining/office/shower house built in time so we can have camp this summer in... tents, just like back in 1954 but with decks and bunk beds! Praise God for providing the funds, prayer, and volunteers, and pray enough gets done and all the permits and inspections go well!
Hundreds of youth and adults are discipled each year. Tens of Thousands of campers hearing the words and stories of Jesus from a Biblical worldview over the lifetime of this investment.

GOD IS DOING A NEW THING
Midway Bible Camp has had five temporary sites of the past seventy years. With the Moak Lake site progressing back to the First Nation’s control, the Provincial Lands Branch and InterAct Ministries board have approved the purchase of a new home, Site 6. On this site, there is a protrusion of bedrock that reminds us of Jesus the Kishce Asiniy, the chief cornerstone, in the local language.
At Site Six we plan to build a new home for summer Bible camp ministry and so much more. This facility aims to be a year-round hub to support disciples of Jesus from surrounding communities to challenge, scaffold and commission them to make disciples back in their home community.
Our Vision for Midway Bible Camp is to be a place that makes disciples whose lives are filled with the love and peace of God. We know life’s important decisions are often made when we are teenagers and young adults. One of the biggest obstacles that prevent youth from openly living for Jesus is the lack of confidence. We aim to help each person that our team interacts with and engages with to overcome their fears by walking with them through the challenges of following Jesus in a broken world. We desire to give the next generation of Christian Leaders the opportunities to grow in their relationships with God while we point them to the ultimate servant leader, Jesus Christ.
SOME QUOTES FROM PAST CAMPERS
"I thank you for being a leading example of what it is to be a man of God and a man in general. I thought about you, your family, and your teachings a lot since we last spoke. God has changed my life, and I would love to tell you about it in greater detail someday. I am doing my part to be a man of God as he has blessed me. The Lord has given me a chance at a new life as I completely left the past in the past through God's grace."
"When I knew it was time to repent, I was sitting out in the field reading this daily devotional bible I have, I must've sat there praying for two hours by myself. Then when I stood up to go home I looked into the sky, and the northern lights just exploded above me dancing and bright green and purple and I felt the Lord's presence, I felt pure joy. It was amazing and ever since then it's been a straight road with walking with Jesus."
"I feel the need to grow closer to God because of camp"
THE NEED
We have identified a need among the people in the North for a facility that can host and be a home for various ministry opportunities such as ...
Summer Bible Camp for children
SALT discipleship program for youth
Land Based day camps for schools from a Biblical worldview
Leadership training
Short-term missions trips
Family Camps
Ministry and Church retreats
Native Youth Conference and more …
THE PLAN
To make this happen we are looking to raise $1.1 million in the next two years to create an environment where children, teens, and adults can encounter Jesus. The funds raised will go to build an access road, new cabin structures ( Ti-pis, Yurts, platforms with tents), and a yearround ministry building. The year-round building will be a place for ongoing support and encouragement of both campers and staff. A place to incubate local ministries, support the local groups of believers and build up churches in the area.
