What is camp all about?

Midway Bible Camp on Moak Lake is a place for children, youth and families to encounter a life-changing God who loves us unconditionally. We have a rustic location off-grid where you can come and disconnect from technology and choose a much more powerful connection.

Logistics and life at camp

Each camp will run from Monday noon until Friday evening. Children and youth who are registered for camp will be dropped off at the camp, or picked up in their community at a designated meeting area. When they arrive at camp, they will be registered and assigned a cabin group based on their age and biological sex. Each cabin group is made up of 6-8 campers and at least 2 trained and screened staff members. During the week they can expect to have lots of fun, and be challenged in a number of ways.

Growing Together

When your child comes to Midway Bible Camp, they will be challenged to grow in 4 different realms; spiritual, social, mental/emotional and physical. We also are ready to admit that we aren’t in a perfect place. We all have growing to do which is done best together, because we need each other.

Spiritual

Midway Bible Camp and each of our ministries are grounded in a strong belief that the God who created the world is a God that is alive, present and loves each of us. The truth that through His Son Jesus we have the ability to love others is what compels us to share that love with each person that comes to camp.

Social

Children are assigned cabin groups of 6-10 children of the same sex and age range. They have opportunities to bring their friends and share a cabin together and make new friends. We use small and large-group activities each day to encourage a social connection that we need these days more than ever before.

Mental/Emotional

Whether it’s utilizing a creative outlet in the craft shop, letting lungs fill up with clean, fresh air or memorizing Bible verses, good practices for mental and emotional health are present and encouraged. Our staff are loving, caring, non-judgmental and are there to listen and point to a loving Creator who cares.

Physical

Each day at camp presents opportunities to get active and to challenge the camper’s physical skills in many ways. This practical skill development is achieved through swimming, hiking, running, canoeing, target sports (archery, tomahawk throwing and BB guns) and field sports as we promote physical well-being.
