Midway Ministries is a branch of InterAct Ministries, based on the biblical principles of making disciples of all nations. With our head office in Crossfield, Alberta and our headquarters in Thompson, our vision statement is, “Growing Christian Leaders in the North.” Each of our staff have been commissioned as followers of Jesus to do just that, as we run Midway Bible Camp, Midway Builders, Youth Life Coaching and Adult Life Coaching ministries.

Part of our history has been a focus on church planting and other ministries in the mining and rail communities of Northern Manitoba as Canadian Interior Mission, Continental Interior Mission and more recently Continental Mission Inc as well as a focus on establishing indigenous churches within the First Nations Communities. The focus has always been on being faithful to God’s call on people’s lives and that means telling people about Jesus and making disciples.
Our focus is to be growing Christian leaders in whatever we do. This is driven by the desire to see local Christians reaching their home communities, local teens reaching their peers and families reaching each other for Christ. One example of how this vision guides our practice is the staffing at Midway Bible Camp. In the last 6 years we have seen the percentage of staff from the North increase from 5% in 2009, to 15% in 2010 and 30% in 2011 to 45% in 2014 and 56% in the most recent years!
With more and more connections and opportunities for Christians who say’ “I want to follow Christ but I just don’t know how,” or “There are just to many pressures and no one to share this new life with.” We believe that God has positioned Midway Ministries to stand in the gap and see many people in the North grow as humble Christian Leaders.
